This week, students at MMS, led by Mrs. McPhatter and the English Department kicked off a "Sustained Silent Reading" challenge! So far, the students have read thousands of combined minutes and thousands of combined pages... in just one week! Activities also included watching interview by international celebrities on their favorite books, and sending examples of figurative language as Valentines Day messages to seniors at a local nursing home!
