During the month of March, students from MMS were asked to bring in "like new" school age books to donate for a school wide book drive. This was one way MMS kicked off Read Across America day and celebrated National Reading Month. The books collected were donated to Madison Heights Baptist Church to support the free little library on their property, and children that attend Vacation Bible school this summer will also receive a book to use during their summer reading. Books will also be donated to Jericho Missions Church to be given as Christmas gifts later this year. MMS students and families donated 916 books to these ministries!
Congratulations to Mrs. Curtis' 3rd block class, donating over half of that total themselves!! Those students and their families donated over 500 books, and won the book-drive competition!!
